My favorite games in no particular order:
Hearts of Iron IV
Grand Startegy, PDX game, no need to explain. Love the strategy and war vibe it offers. Truly Addictive.
Europa Universalis IV
Same as above. Though, not focused of war only, it also focuses on economy and diplomacy.
Factorio
It's almost a city builder, but a strategy one as well. It's a construction and management type of game, really amazing with its problem solving situations, a game for a true engineer!
Devil May Cry V
Action and hype till death
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1
Nostalgic, also quite long and branchy, there are so many ways you could go, though it can be a little repetitive. For me, it was awesome, very enjoyable when you use the cheat codes for unlocking all the characters from the beginning
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
A sequel to the game above, better and eventually, FINALLY have Venom. The graphics are obviously better and the game overall didn't change as much, but better.
Terraria (2D Minecraft, as they say XD)
Addictive for anyone who's up to unleash his creativity into the game, it also includes combat by a huge portion of it, yet also quite detailed when it comes to construction. 3 times complexer than minecraft.
Caves of Qud
Not that pleasing for anyone who values graphics, but for me, I didn't care. It's a rogue-like RPG that is very very detailed and huge just like dwarf fortress. You can do just about anything as its developers say. Very fun and includes quite a good amount of quality in combat. Even more fun for people who care about a story.
The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind
RPG where it's just really funny, the game is almost satire, though you should follow the plot of the game, but even so, it's fun with the unordinary things you do in it, also magic is very exploitable, and thus fun.

a very good vid that will give you a hint about the game.
The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim (For its mods, really.)
like the one above
Old School Runescape
an MMORPG classic
Kenshi
You have the freedom to do whatever, it's almost roguelike, though very humilating, that's the point of the game, to feel absolute shit and try to rise alone. You'll have good chuckles playing this game.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (All of the series)
similar to the one above, but without being funny.
RimWorld (Although I fucking hate it for I always screw up in it)
micromanagement, almost like factorio, but quite different.
Deus Ex (All of the series)
Like Kenshi and STALKER in that you have absolite freedom to do so much, but this one just has the most freedom.
Project Zomboid
idk how to explain it, but it's fun and also humilating in that when you die, you restart from zero, but really fun, though.
Tales of Maj'eyal
turn based rogue-like, might seem boring for some, but is good and obscure.
Civilization 3 to 6
turn based game. Gets me a little bored after a while, incomparable to HOI4
Banished
citybuilder like the civ franchise.
Diablo II
a classic roguelike
